    Another concept of Training explained by Human Resources Forum

    Reviewing seven working papers distributed in four sessions

    As discussed in "National human resources in technology transfer form", which has discussed many topics dealing with training, and rehabilitation of human capabilities, in order to cope with the global developments in the areas of successive technical knowledge..
    This was done through the presentation of seven working papers during this event organized by Eastern Chamber in cooperation with Saudi Aramco.
     
     
    In his welcome speech at the forum's opening, Chamber General Secretary has pointed out the issue of "The role of national human resources in technology transfer", as one of the most important issues of concern in the world, especially to our national economy.

    Referring to the title given for this forum, which clearly indicates the nature of the relationship between human resources and technology transfer which cannot be achieve this progress alone, without a qualified human resources, trained and informed in the transfer of modern technologies, within the process of civilization development for our country.
     
     

    The first Session
     
    At the first session chaired by Asharqia Chamber Council Member, Mr. Salman bin Mohammed Al Jishi, in which The General Governor of Technical Training Institution, Dr. Ali bin Nasser Al-Gufais speaks about (Human resources and technology transfer .. current stage evaluation.
    Explaining the word (training) which was given for the institution to enhance the image of the importance of practical aspects which move the knowledge aspect to a practical one.

    Explaining the most challenges faced by the organization as 60% of the population of Saudi Arabia with the age of less than 19 years, more than 80% have high school degree, which indicates the non-qualification and in need of job rehabilitation, about 84% of the labors in the factories are non-Saudis, and 90% from the foreign labor are regular.
     

     
    Al Ghufais clarified one of the important measures undertaken by the organization which to achieve the strategic goals is to apply the foreign experience in Germany, Canada, Britain, Ireland, and Corina, and study the experiences of technical colleges there, and working on  trainers preparation , as there are 15 agreements with 15 countries for temporary training not more than 3 months, in order to prepare a qualified trainers.
     
     

    The second session

    During the second session, titled (The importance of the relationship between the national human resources and technology transfer) in which the member of the Supreme Council for Vocational Training in Bahrain,Mr.Imad Al Mouaid speaks about the most important difficulties facing the technology transfer which is no giving a clear definition of this transfer. As well as the misunderstanding between education and training
    One of the challenges as well as defined by Al Mouaid is the techniques that we want to apply, and whether we can do it or not, stressing on how to seek an industrial society by a qualified and trained workers, with the need for necessary training to do so.

    For his part, the Assistant Supervisor of Bawady AlRiyadh, Mr. Misfer al-Zahrani speaks of (Assesses the situation of Saudi human resources in the private sector).
     
    Referring to the economic expectations of Bawady Al Riyadh Technology in ten years to provide 3000 researchers job and 12 thousand jobs given for specialists and technician, and 7 thousand students' jobs (interim and full).
     

    The third session

     

     
    Dr. Omar Sulaiman AlHumaidi, Chairman of Technical and Professional Training Council in the Eastern region is speaking about (The contribution of the education system and training centers in the development of national human resources),providing an explanation of the characteristics of the education system and technical and vocational training target.

    Al-Zamil participation within the third session, titled (Human Resource Development and Facilitating the technology transfer) he explained the Fund's Goal in supporting the rehabilitation of the national labor, training and employment in the private sector also reviewing the functions of King Fahad National Employment Services for technical and functional careers.
     
    Al Zamil estimated the size the labor market in Saudi Arabia in the areas of Communications and Information Technology by (12.7) billion riyals in the year (2007) according to a study prepared by the Company (IDC), a company specializing in the analysis studies the future. The proportion of spending on hardware amounted (54.7%), the systems with (17.3%) and services with (28%).
     
    Indicating that Saudi Market is composing of (40%) of the total spending on communications and information technology in the Middle East, Saudi Market is considered as one of the largest markets in the region, on matters of spending on computers, which has exceeded sales of (350) laptops in (2007) in which sales has reached(550) in 2009.
     

    The fourth session
     
    The fourth session, which is titled (the national human resources and technology transfer in the industrial sector) where the Industrial Training Dept. of Saudi Aramco, represented by:, Mr.Fahd Al-Mulhim, and the Credit Manager of Saudi Industrial Saudi Industrial Development Fund ,Mr.Kamal AL-Mutlaq speaks of:( the role of Saudi Industrial Development Fund in the supporting human recourses in the industrial sector), the session is headed by Mr.Nasser Al-Mudarra ,Business Development Consultant in Saudi Aramco.
